Today, 2/18, Commack Ambulance along with many local departments, joined us in honoring the loss of Firefighter Jesse Gerhard. On Wednesday, February 16, Firefighter Gerhard suffered a medical episode while on duty at his firehouse - Ladder Company 134 in Far Rockaway, Queens. Commack Ambulance along with the surrounding departments joined at Long Island Welcome Center in Dix Hills as the FDNY transported Firefighter Gerhard. We thank you, Firefighter Gerhard, for the service you provided to the people of New York City.
