On Saturday, Commack Ambulance stood by at the Town of Hempstead Concert Series and Firework Show. Under the command of 3rd Assistant Chief Joe Vollers, Commack Ambulance provided an Ambulance as well as the EMS bike team.
The EMS bike team is made up of providers who work in pairs to help treat any possible patients. The bikes contain a large variety of EMS equipment to help provide immediate care and to stabilize patients before transport. These bikes are highly versatile and allow EMS providers to reach patients that are difficult to reach in a timely manor.
