Our motto is “Neighbors helping Neighbors since 1966” and we live by that creed. Please click on the Membership application link below as the first step in what will, most assuredly be, the experience of a lifetime.

Probation

Before becoming a sworn in member of the Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps, applicants must successfully complete probationary training. "Probie Class" is mandatory for all trainees, and is held every Monday night from 7:00PM to 10:00PM. Each week, trainees will receive didactic and practical training with their peers that will teach them everything they need to know about riding on the ambulance. In addition to attending class, trainees will be assigned a weekly riding shift (based on availability), where they will receive training in the field and practice what they have learned on emergency calls.  All trainees must complete probie class and be cleared on all skills before being sworn in as an Operating Member.
