Member Spotlight - May Member of the Month - Maria H.
Congratulations to Maria H. for achieving member of the month for May!
Maria has only been in Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps for a short time. She joined in the summer of 2019, and is nearing her one year anniversary at CVAC. In that short time, she has made a positive impact.
In her own words, she loves the friendships and bonds she has developed at CVAC. Maria also cites one of her favorite parts of CVAC as learning and developing her patient care skills to aid her in her future career aspirations. You can always find Maria working on training with equipment, and improving her knowledge around patient assessment. She recently earned her Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification this week, and has become a cleared EMT at CVAC!
Maria will be attending Molloy College for Nursing this fall. We are proud of her for her accomplishments and excited to see her grow and develop in her career path. Maria does a great deal for her community and the ambulance corps. In May, she clocked in over 117 hours riding on the ambulance and providing patient care!
Congratulations to Maria for earning the honor of being our fifth member of the month, and our fifth in our series of member spotlights!
Maria, in your short time at CVAC, you have significantly grown as a person and a medical provider. With your patient-first mentality and eagerness around the medical field you are destined to succeed in the field of medicine and you will continue to do great things for your patients! Congrats on becoming an EMT! - 33
