In the past few days we have seen an amazing outpouring of support from our community. For that, we are grateful. We remain ever vigilant in fighting the COVID-19 outbreak in our community. Answering the community's calls for help is our very mission. Social distancing is a best-case scenario when treating the seriously ill or injured. Because of the close and intimate nature of our service, we are depleting our limited resources of vital protective equipment. Items most in need are hand sanitizer, hand wipes, cleaning supplies, disposable gowns, face shields, and when able surgical masks or respirator masks like those used in health care, construction, and auto repair. Since we recognize that many community members want to help, while adhering to the isolation guidelines we are happy to collect any items you are able to contribute. To arrange for a pick up, please contact Assistant Chief Joe Vollers at (631) 260-9161. We're not going anywhere, you call - and we're still coming. Let's all do our best to keep safe and continue helping our neighbors.
