Tuesday July 9th, remained a busy day for Commack Ambulance at 1841 we were activated for a report of a male with a traumatic injury on Schuyler Drive in Commack. Upon arrival units found their male patient approximately 100 feet into the woods, with non life threatening injuries. Due to the difficult location of the patient Commack EMS requested Commack Fire for a stokes basket. With assistance from Commack Fire the patient was packaged and carried out of the woods to the ambulance where he was further assessed and transported to Southside hospital with non- life threatening injuries. Commack Ambulance responded with 2 ambulances (2-16-20,2-16-15) paramedic responder (2-16-Medic) and all units were under the command of Chief of Department Bob Cavaileri (2-16-30).
