On October 1st, Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to a vehicle fire. A vehicle was travelling eastbound on Jericho Turnpike when it lost control, hit a concrete wall, and struck another vehicle, causing a fire involving both vehicles and a business. Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and one was treated and released on scene for smoke inhalation. The fire was extinguished by Commack Fire Department, and all units were released thereafter.
